One day after an offer to house O.J. Simpson’s acquittal suit was rejected by the Smithsonian, the National Museum of Crime and Punishment – also located in Washington – has pitched itself as an alternative.

The museum’s Chief Operating Officer Janine Vaccarello made the request in a letter addressed to Fred Goldman, reports TMZ.com.

But more parties have to sign off on the idea before the suit can be acquired. Goldman’s attorney, David Cook, tells TMZ a unanimous decision has to be made between his client, Simpson and the suit’s owner Mike Gilbert.

Puerto Rico is slated to invalidate all birth certificates later this year. Associated Press reports indicate that the U.S. commonwealth will invalidate all birth certificates of people born there as of July 1. The move is to combat identity theft.

As of July 1, all previously issued Puerto Rican birth certificates will be invalid which means more than a third of the 4.1 million people of Puerto Rican descent living in the 50 states must arrange to get new certificates.

Puerto Ricans will also no longer be able to use a certified copy of their birth certificate as proof of identity to obtain a driver`s license at the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Scammers have reportedly been stealing birth certificates of Puerto Ricans and selling it to undocumented immigrants to help them obtain U.S. passports and licenses in the U.S.

Kartel it seriously look a way that you say “alleged”! Why didn’t you contact yuh artist before yuh reach New York to release statement? If she was indeed assaulted and didnt link you before releasing her statement then you, as the boss, coulda still try to see what was up in di empire

Then, by choosing “alleged” and “allegations” its almost as if he doesn’t believe Kim himself (then why should we), but then again Kartel is a real smart man, right,  he must know that that would have been questioned as undermining the beating.

This week news in the reggae community said that legend Barrington Levy assaulted his 14 year old daughter and was called into question by the Jamaican police. At first we just thought he was getting his Teddy Riley on, but the past couple days tell a different story.

Apparently, Levy’s young, fresh and green daughter invited a 34 year old man who worked for her father to the house for them to have some time alone; according to one876 “alleged to be Samara Cunningham aka ‘Russian’, a man in Mr Levy’s employ.” Not being slow to the game, she made sure to tell the little cousin to leave for a while- but this lil one ketch the rake and returned to the house to see big cousin and big man doing whatever it was they were doing.

Samara Cunnigham AKA Russian has fled the community and hasn’t been seen since, and because Dawta Levy gave the police a false statement to begin with (implicating someone else at that), Levy is upset with the way the police are dealing with the issue.

A 14 year old girl is gonna think she knows what’s right. A 34 year old big man, who is probably also some shamed woman’s husband or boyfriend or some kid’s father, is a f*cked up person!!! The Salahi’s were already ‘maybes’ for the “Real Housewives of Washington” series, and are using this story as more fodder to whore themselves out to reality TV. The man, Tareq, is a director on the Virginia Tourism Board.  Isnt this kinda like balloon boy’s parents doing something stupid in a bid to secure a reality show?

Even though the were allowed to enter, they knew they were not invited and lied to the CIA and the white house. Isn’t that against the law? Are these people really going to be allowed to live out their 15 minutes of fame as the ‘white house dinner crashers?’ Isnt that trespassing or some shit?

This couple straight up disrespected and embarrassed the president and the secret service while trying to cake from it- dont they deserve some type of punishment?

On Monday we reported that Black Activists were protesting outside of the white house and now a totally different group of people have chosen the school of Malia and Sasha Obama as their protest ground.

The Westboro Baptist “Church” is actually a notorious hate group run by Fred Phelps. Comprised of mostly his family, the group travels the country holding hate rallies. They are known for holding them at controversial places and in the past have protested outside of soldiers’ funerals and targeted Jewish temples.

A message on the “church’s” website refers to the Obama children as “satanic spawn” of a “murderous bastard.” They are also protesting outside the White House and at other local schools.

After months of being out of the public eye, former major league baseball champ Sammy Sosa attended an after-party for the Latin Grammy Awards with a new ‘lite-brite’ skin tone that could give Lisa Hype a run for her dermovate money.

Sosa is from the DR-Dominican Republic- where they have a long history of race/shade based discrimination. Like in Jamaica and other Caribbean and South/Central American countries, the mantra of “if yuh black get back, if yuh brown stick around, if yuh white yuh just right” still stands.

What I think makes the situation in the DR different is that the government, in its bid to be closer to the European demagogues, created the race/ethnicity of ‘indio’ for mixed race people to furthur disassociate themselves from blackness. In DR, blackness is synonymous with Haiti, the tense and unruly country that sits on the other side of the one island.

A couple weeks ago, our fellow blogger at Economics Blog PEB100 wrote his insight on the ruling in Louisiana where a JP decided that a couple could not marry based on the fact that they would produce interracial babies.

WTF, when did having half black/half white babies become a crime to be decided by the law? And when did it become an offense to be bi-racial.  I thought that was with since slavery……. so im guessing we’re still there?

Almshouse (in Jamaican patois) refers to an unsavory situation.

This past week the internet has been buzzing about a man who says he is 112 Years old making a blushing bride out of a 17 year old young woman!!!

Maybe its the fact that I grew up in Babylon (the West), but doesn’t this seems like straight fuckery?! I cant help thinking that this is just the twisted longing of an old man wanting to control gender and sexuality till the day he dies.  This is his 6th marriage, has 13 children & 101 grand children and says he had his eyes on her since she was a young girl but waited paitently to realize this ‘dream’.  WTF.???!!!
