Okay, so what’s really going on with Tanbad, Ms Thing and Director (at Terminal 4 Media with Psycho), Jay Jay? Looks like both of them are Psycho’s women and ah jus so it go.
I dont see whats the big deal about them being topless- they are on a topless beach in St Maarten. I done pree that a lot of us women that are hating are doing so because we dont have the guts to make this move. Now posting them to facebook (they are on Psycho and Ms Thing’s pages), obviously they were awaiting exactly this- the media and blogosphere creating a frenzy around it.
A few of the pics disappeared from Tanbad’s facebook page since yesterday, lucky for us, they were already circulating. Check out the last two photos!!!!
MULTIPLE Grammy winning artiste Ziggy Marley, is so passionate about showing respect to the musical trailblazers and ensuring that their legacy is cherished and passed on to the next generation, that he has produced the first in a series called Dancehall Originators Vol 1.
“These youngsters today don’t know enough about the music, where it originated, the who’s who … the veterans who made it happen and the riddims that played such an integral role in the success of the whole thing. It’s important that we understand the past … the legacy, so that we can build and shape the present and the future,” the eldest son of icon Bob Marley declared.
It was out of this realisation that the Dancehall Originators project was born. Ziggy says he threw out the idea to his sister Cedella and VP Records’ Christy Barber and they were both sold and put their all into seeing the project come to life.
The album, a compilation of original dancehall mixes and which also features the ground-breaking Hot This Year riddim, was released last month. Dancehall Originators Vol 1 consists of tracks by Dirtsman, Peter Metro featuring Tanto Metro, Coco Tea, U-Roy and George Nooks, Charlie Chaplin, Chaka Demus, Yellow Man, Pinchers, General Trees and Buju Banton. There is also a Taking You Back Mega Mix, by DJ Roy of Road International.

“It’s all about showing gratitude,” he reiterated, while adding that in other cultures this is the norm.
“Reggae music is very valuable to us and we need to treat it with the respect that it deserves,” he said.
Regarding his recent Grammy win — his fifth — for the album, Family Time, a compilation of children’s songs and which features heavy hitters such as Paul Simon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Rita Marley and Laurie Berkner, Ziggy said he was “very happy”.
“I feel good about this Grammy, especially since it’s in a different category from what we are used to. I give thanks for the recognition and realise that this means more hard work as we show the world the versatility that lies within us as reggae musicians and singers,” he said.
Family Time won in the category, Best Musical Album for Children.

*After four false starts, Lil Wayne was finally taken away in handcuffs to begin his year-long jail term for attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
The rapper was sentenced in Manhattan Monday, where he’ll serve his sentence in city jails, not a state prison. He could be released in about eight months with good behavior.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper, born Dwayne Carter, pleaded guilty in October to having a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic gun on his tour bus in 2007.
Before Monday’s court appearance, it had proved difficult to actually begin Weezy’s agreed-upon sentence.
His first sentencing was postponed in February so he could undergo surgery on his jewel-encrusted teeth. Then, a fire shut down Manhattan’s main criminal courthouse while he was on his way there last week – causing two more delays.
City jail officials haven’t said where the multiplatinum-selling artist will be housed among their roughly 13,000 inmates. His lawyer has said she plans to ask for protective custody out of concern for his safety and health following his extended oral surgeries.
The family of Cedric Im Brooks would like to take the time to thank all his fans and well wishers for their out pouring of love and tremendous support in these real trying times. We would also like to take this time to keep all concerned abreast of his situation.
A former regular of Kemar McGregor’s No Doubt Records, Trelawny native Prestige makes a downright ENCHANTING brand of modern Roots Reggae music, but the attraction, at least for me, is his consistency.

UrbanMediaOutlet.com brought you pictures of Hall & Oates at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Fest and now they are in reggae news again as Daryl Hall featured Toots from Toots and the Maytals on his web-series “Daryl’s House”:
Rock singer, Daryl Hall — of the group Hall and Oates, who gave a splendid performance at the recent Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival — took his groundbreaking web series, Live From Daryl’s House, to Jamaica where he hooked up with legendary reggae group Toots and the Maytals.
The shoot took place at the home of reggae DJ ‘Native’ Wayne Jobson in Ocho Rios, St Ann. Daryl and Toots Hibbert, according to a release, teamed on an incredible eight-song set that featured Toots and the Maytals’ classics like ‘Time Tough’, ‘Reggae Got Soul’, ‘Funky Kingston’, ‘Sweet and Dandy’, ‘Dog War’, ‘Monkey Man’ and ‘54-46 (Was My Number)’, a song that Toots wrote after serving a prison sentence for marijuana possession in the mid 1960’s.
They also did a rocksteady take on Hall and Oates’ ‘You Make My Dreams Come True’, recently popularized by its use in the film ‘(500) Days of Summer’. As on all episodes, there was a chef preparing food for everyone, in this case, Suzanne Couch, who joins Daryl and Toots for Sweet and Dandy.
According to Toots, he had a great time “Hanging out with Daryl at Native Wayne’s amazing house in the hills of St Ann. It was a pleasure working with him and jamming with the band along with my son Hopeton on bass and Suzanne on backing vocals. The jam session was so tight we could have played music all night. I am looking forward to him returning to Jamaica soon. May all his dreams come true”.
Daryl raved about the experience; “To be able to perform with one of reggae’s enduring legends in his homeland was certainly a memorable musical experience. Magical collaborations like this are why I started Live From Daryl’s House”.
Past episodes of Live From Daryl’s House have featured a mix of well-known performers like Smokey Robinson, The Doors’ Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek, Gym Class Heroes’ Travis McCoy, Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, the Bacon Brothers and country star Jimmy Wayne, along with newcomers such as Philly soul singer Mutlu, MySpace pop-rock phenom Eric Hutchinson, Cash Money rocker Kevin Rudolf, Chicago rock band Plain White T’s and highly touted tunesmith Diane Birch.
Daryl started the free monthly webcast in late 2007 after having the idea of “playing with my friends and putting it up on the Internet,” and the show has since garnered acclaim from Rolling Stone, SPIN, Daily Variety, CNN, BBC, Yahoo! Music and influential blogger Bob Lefsetz. They have cited Live From Daryl’s House as a perfect example of a veteran artiste reinventing himself in the digital age by collaborating with both established colleagues and newer performers.

Una Morgan is the sole female sibling of the Reggae band of this decade, Morgan Heritage. Despite having ten studio albums under her belt with her family band, having performed for stadium-sized audiences across the world, and having garnered much of the success and longevity that many artistes can only hope for, Una took a step back from the limelight in 2006.
At urbanmediaoutlet.com we love singer Jovi Rockwell!! She’s so comfortable in her own skin that I cant help but admire her sassy raggamuffin style; she always brings off the rocker chic look with such ease!! On Sunday February 28, 2010 the singer/song-writer attended the Supermodels Unlimited Magazine’s Relief for Haiti event at M2 Lounge in NYC. She looked great rockin this black turtle neck, studded belt (of course with her own twist) topped off with blue jeans and very trendy over the knee sex vamp boots. Her make-up on the red carpet is gorgeous.
Tami when is the Red One/Lady Gaga collabo coming??:

At first glance it’s clear to see that Tami Chynn is indeed one of a kind. A pop princess who emerged from one of the grittiest, male dominated music scenes, Jamaica’s dancehall. “My influences are very eclectic. If you browsed my iPod you’d get confused, but it all works really,” says Tami. As she prepares to release PRIMADONNA, her major label debut on SRC/Universal Records, Miss Chynn’s main focus is making music that inspires girls everywhere and of all ages. Tami succeeds in doing just that by singing fun, empowering, sexy, and at times sentimental lyrics over the platinum RedOne/Konvict sound.
